I have been in the mental health field since the 1980s and became a Licensed Psychologist in 1993. With offices in two convenient locations, I see clients in both Nashville and Columbia, Tennessee.  My practice encompasses psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation services.

My approach is client-centered, utilizing developmentally-appropriate techniques to promote the expression of feelings and self-understanding. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients change troubling thoughts and behaviors, incorporating mindfulness practices and gestalt techniques, among many other strategies. For younger children, I use play and art therapy. Assessment results can be used for diagnostic purposes as well as to assist in making treatment and other recommendations. Finding oneself can be a daunting task in our complicated society. I aspire to help my clients achieve self understanding through psychotherapy and/or assessment and develop tools to assist them in navigating life's challenges.

French and Spanish-speakers welcome.
